Employee's Help Flint Michigan Amid Water Crisis

Upon arrival to Michigan, Jessica worked alongside a local retailer in Flint to purchase the pallets of water and then delivering it to area residents.  When asking Jessica why this was so important to her, the response was “It means a lot to be able to give back to a community that I lived in for so many years.”  Jessica moved to Rockford, Illinois nearly 5 years ago to be closer to family, but her home state has always been special to her, and this is a great way to give back.

The water in Flint was declared unsafe to drink after high levels of lead were found as a result of corroding pipes.  The water crisis has led to several serious health conditions and is possibly linked to a spike in Legionnaires’ disease which is a life threatening bacterial illness.
